It is based upon an international standard, the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System. The contents of this publication consist of an introductory text, a description of the Standard Classification of Goods (including general rules for interpretation and a list of sections and chapters), the Classification, and a concordance. The Standard Classification of Goods will be updated annually. Updates will be available in the form of a list of changes and amended pages.
