Occupational classification manual, Census of Canada, 1971, based on Canadian Classification and Dictionary of Occupations = La classification des professions, Recensement du Canada, 1971, inspirée de...: CS12-538/1971-PDF
"This Occupational Classification Manual, has been prepared primarily for use in the Census of Canada, 1971. It is designed as a coding manual and contains comprehensive indexes of occupational titles to obtain consistent coding of occupations enumerated in the census. Other occupational statistics obtained from such sources as immigration, employment placement and vocational training programs are often used in conjunction with Census occupational data, although heretofore no standard occupational classification system has been available for general use. Such a standard is now available in the form of the Canadian Classification and Dictionary of Occupations which has been used as the basis for this Manual"--Introduction, v. 2.
