"Data on the wealth distribution in Canada originate from household sample surveys conducted occasionally by Statistics Canada. More specifically, comparable wealth data exist back to 1970, based on three surveys taken in 1970, 1977 and 1984. These data were assembled for this paper in order to draw conclusions about the degree of inequality present in the distribution of wealth in this country and how this distribution has changed between 1970 and 1984"--Summary.
