Both convective and dispersive propagation is considered within the fracture subsystem, while only dispersive propagation is considered with the porous matrix subsystem. The two subsystems are coupled through continuity restrictions imposed at their interface boundary. The transport equations are then subjected to dimensionless analyses and solved utilizing an alternating direction implicit method technique.
