Canadian Health and Disability Survey, 1983-1984 (CHDS) : public use micro-data documentation / Health Division, Statistics Canada.CS82-0001/1987E-PDF

"The Canadian Health and Disability Survey (CHDS) was conducted as a supplement to the Labour Force Survey in October 1983 and in June 1984. The project was sponsored by the Health Division of Statistics Canada in response to the recommendation by the Special Parliamentary Committee on the Disabled and the Handicapped, in 1981, to initiate a long-term programme to generate comprehensive data on disabled persons in Canada. There have been two releases of the data: Catalogue 82-563E/F - Highlights from the Canadian Health and Disability Survey, June 1985; and Catalogue 82-555E/F - Report of the Canadian Health and Disability Survey, July 1986. The third release is this public use file. This package was designed to enable interested users to access and manipulate the micro-data file"--Introd., p. 1.
