"This study was conducted for the Manitoba Environment Department to assess public participation activities under the Manitoba Environment Act. The Act was proclaimed March 31, 1988; this study took place over the period April 1, 1988 to September 31, 1989. A series of questionnaires were designed to study public participation activities in five areas: the public registry network, public hearings, The Manitoba Environmental Council, non-government organizations, and provincial and federal government initiatives"--Exec.
