Magnitude of floods in British Columbia . : En39-45/1972E-PDF

"An increasing frequency of requests for peak flows prompted the publication of this report - a compilation of peak annual flows at 354 stream qauging locations in British Columbia. As an aid to forecastinq the probability of future floods, the historical peak annual flows have been plotted on Gumbel extremal probability paper. However, the user must make his own interpretation of the plots since no attempt has been made to fit lines to the points. At the back of the report is a summary of the period of record for each stream and also a summary of the extreme maximum flows and run offs together with envelope curves"--Pref.
