"The original tract of land on which Curve Lake Reserve ia situated was granted to the New England Company in 1837. On June 4, 1898, 115.64 acres were transferred to the Dominion Government in trust for the Indians. On May 12, 1900, the deed from the New England Company for 1,664.0 acres (including the 115.64 transferred in 1898) vas transferred to the Dominion Government"--p. [1].
