"The last assessment of stock status of Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) for Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) Gulf Region was completed after the 2013 return year and updates on stock status for each of the four Salmon Fishing Areas (SFA 15-18) were prepared in 2014, 2015, and 2016. DFO Fisheries and Aquaculture Management requested an update of the status of the Atlantic Salmon stock in the Miramichi River for 2017. Indicators for adult Atlantic Salmon for the Miramichi River are provided in this report.
