"The Whitefish Lake Indian Band has stated that "portions" of Whitefish Lake Indian Reserve #6 are "no longer usable by them" due to flooding. The Band has stated that the southern (mainland) portion of Whitefish Lake Indian Reserve #6, adjacent to Lake Panache, has been flooded as the result of the construction of a dam at the outlet of Lake Panache at Walker Lake. To date, the Whitefish Lake Indian Band have not submitted a formal statement of claim to the Ontario Government nor has the Indian Band provided any documentation to the Ontario Government in support of their statement.
