"The following paper presents a summary of surveyed material concerning the Montagnais - Naskapi Indians of Northwest River and Davis Inlet in Labrador. It must serve as a compliment to reports entitled "Indians of Newfoundland and Labrador" and "Indians of Newfoundland" prepared in December 1975 by G. Wyman, Research Officer, Membership Division. Although additional sources have been consulted, little new information can be added to Ms. Wyman's conclusions. However, the sources tended to support the previous considerations"--p. 2.
