Behaviour of oil under Canadian climatic conditions : part 1, oil on water under ice-forming conditions / Brian F. Scott and Robi M. Chatterjee.: En36-502/50E-PDF

"Oil was poured onto a water surface under ice-forming conditions. Weather conditions were monitored continuously, as were the physical properties of the oil and the effect of the oil on its physical environment. Properties of the oil were investigated by gas chromatography and the following forms of spectroscopy: neutron activation (y-ray), infrared, ultraviolet, visible and fluorescence. The weathering of the oil and its influence on its environment were correlated with the weather parameters"--Abstract.
