“Cusk (Brosme brosme) are currently under consideration for addition to the official list of wildlife species at risk (Schedule 1) of the Species at Risk Act (SARA). The recovery potential assessment (RPA) informs the listing decision, socio-economic analyses, and consultations with the public. This document provides an update to the Cusk RPA conducted in 2007 (DFO 2008a). Should this species be added to the List set out in Schedule 1 to SARA, the advice from this RPA update will also inform the recovery strategy"--Introd., p. 1.
