"In 1978 water quality conditions in the National Capital Region were studied to determine the water quality of the Ottawa River before sewage treatment measures were completed in nearby Quebec municipalities. Several parameters showed spatial variation with significant increases across transects as well as significant downstream increases in concentration"--Abstract.
