Progress report on the 2015 Federal Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance and Use .: HP40-141/1-2018E-PDF
"Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been identified as a global threat to human health, sustainable food production, and international development. To focus federal attention on this issue, in October 2014, the Government released the Federal Framework for Action to coordinate the AMR activities of five federal departments and agencies. This was followed in March 2015 by the Federal Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance and Use in Canada, which included commitments from two additional departments. Over the past three years, these seven federal departments and agencies have been working to fulfill their commitments under the Federal Action Plan. This Progress Report will highlight the federal government's success in achieving its objectives under the Federal Action Plan and will identify areas where continued work is required"--Overview, p. 1.
