"This research study attempts to quantify the performance of various elements of these systems using controlled laboratory conditions and is not intended to provide specific best practice recommendations. The report outlines testing conducted on EIFS joints to evaluate bond strength and water resistance of a number of different joint designs when exposed to accelerated aging conditions and simulate joint movement. Tests were also conducted on the EIFS lamina to evaluate its water vapour permeance, thermal coefficient of expansion and dry shrinkage"--Executive summary.
