"A Waste Management Action Plan (Way-MAP) makes construction activity more environmentally friendly by reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills. ... The main focus of this Way-MAP is to reduce waste generation on site. With careful planning many wastes can be avoided. Any wastes which are generated are to be handled in the most environmentally sound way, according to the 3R hierarchy of REDUCE, REUSE and RECYCLE"--p. 1.
