| 520 | |a"In 2009, Science-Metrix was mandated by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada on behalf of the Evaluation Advisory Committee of the Canada Research Chairs Program (CRCP) to perform the tenth-year evaluation of the program. ... Using multiple lines of evidence, including a document and file review, interviews, focus groups, web surveys, case studies, and a bibliometric analysis, five evaluation issues were examined: i) continued need and relevance; ii) success; iii) efficiency and effectiveness; iv) governance, design, and delivery of the program; and v) equity of the program for four designated groups (women, members of visible minorities, persons with disabilities, and Aboriginal people). Overall, the evaluation found that the CRCP has been well implemented and continues to be relevant and effective.
