"As part of the spring 2013 Report of the Auditor General of Canada, Chapter 8, Spending on the Public Security and Anti-Terrorism (PSAT) Initiative, the Auditor General noted that between 2001 and 2009, $12.9 billion was approved for department and agency programs to fund activities related to public security and anti-terrorism. The Auditor General also noted that departments and agencies reported on about $9.8 billion in spending to the Treasury Board Secretariat and that information on how departments used $3.1 billion in initiative funding was not available"--p. 1.
