Distribution of barren-ground caribou harvest in northcentral Canada from ear-tag returns / by G.R. Parker.: CW69-1/15E-PDF

"A total of 6,857 barren-ground caribou was ear-tagged in the Northwest Territories from 1960 to 1967. Total recovery rates for the populations that calve at Beverly Lake and Bathurst Inlet were 7.2 and 4.4 per cent respectively. The difference in recovery rates suggests hunting pressure on the Beverly Lake Population is significantly greater than on the Bathurst Inlet Population"--Abstract.
