A study of mean pressure gradients, mean cavity pressures, and resulting residual mean pressures across a rainscreen for a representative building / by P.F. Skerlj and D. Surry ; presented to: Jacques...: NH17-218/1994E-PDF

"Experiments were conducted in the Boundary Layer Wind Tunnel at the University of Western Ontario to investigate the equalization of mean pressures occurring in rainscreen walls. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, through their interest in wind, rain and the building envelope, initiated this project. In particular, Jacques Rousseau aided in the development of the scope of this study through discussions with Alan Davenport and David Surry of the BLWTL. The objectives were to examine the mean pressure gradients on the external surface of a representative building and to investigate the resulting net rainscreen pressures"--Executive summary, p. 2.
