Abiotic and biotic characteristics of wetlands at Riske Creek, British Columbia - a data report / W. Sean Boyd, Jean-Pierre L. Savard.CW69-5/16E-PDF

"In this report, we present abiotic and biotic characteristics of 118 wetlands located at Riske Creek, British Columbia. The data were collected between 1980 and 1984. For each wetland, measurements on the following are presented: physical (morphometric) characteristics, water chemistry, aquatic birds, and aquatic plants. In addition, bottom contour and plant association maps are appended. The data are being analysed to identify relationships between bird abundance and selected abiotic and biotic variables. The results of those analyses well be presented in future reports. By making these data available we hope to encourage and facilitate future research. The data also provide a baseline for documenting future change and for managing individual wetlands or wetland complexes at Riske Creek"--Abstract, p. i.
