"Early in 1995 Sheltair Scientific Ltd. began work on a CMHC contract to design and construct a system for performance testing of the motor and fan components of residential heating & ventilation appliances. The next year and a half involved an ambitious prototyping effort to produce a compact, easy to use, multi-purpose test bench for assisting manufacturers in developing more efficient ventilation equipment. The final product was named a "FANalyzer""--Summary, p. iii.
