Three study areas in British Columbia, Canada, were selected: the Estuarine system, at the mouth of the Fraser River in south-west B.C.; the Riverine system, a stretch of the upper Columbia River floodplain in south-east B.C.; and the Palustrine system, an area on the Fraser Plateau, in central B.C."--Abstract.
