"The Honourable Pierre Poilievre (Carleton – CPC) requested that the PBO prepare a cost estimate of establishing a guaranteed income program. This note costs a guaranteed basic income, using parameters set out in Ontario’s basic income pilot project. This analysis is based on Statistics Canada’s Social Policy Simulation Database and Model. The assumptions and calculations underlying the simulation results were prepared by PBO; the responsibility for the use and interpretation of these data is entirely that of the author"--Verso of cover.
