Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund applicant's guide : strengthening the resilience of Canadian communities.: T94-10/2018E-PDF

"Over the past decade, almost every jurisdiction in Canada has experienced significant weather-related events or disasters triggered by natural hazards. The impacts of climate change are already becoming evident across Canada, with observed changes in air temperature, precipitation, snow and ice cover and other indicators. In response to these threats, the Government of Canada has developed the Disaster Mitigation and Adaptation Fund (DMAF) to invest in the public infrastructure we need to mitigate the potential economic, environmental and social impacts of climate change, and strengthen our resilience to disasters triggered by natural hazards and extreme weather events"--Introduction, p. 3.
