"This atlas provides a summary of the mean concentrations of thirty-nine contaminants and the percent lipid measured in eggs of seven species of fish-eating colonial birds sampled only by the Canadian Wildlife Service throughout the Great Lakes during 1970-1988. There are 4491 data points presented in the atlas; however, this does not include any contaminant data concerning biota in the Great Lakes collected by other organizations and agencies"--Introd., p. 12.
