"Environment Canada and the Department of Fisheries and Oceans have begun design of a marine environmental quality monitoring network. The purpose of the network is to provide a forum for agencies monitoring aspects of marine environmental quality and marine ecosystem health to share results of time series monitoring, to enhance opportunities for collaboration, and to disseminate information more widely within and outside of the scientific community"--Abstract.
