"The purpose of this report is to document participant discussions and to highlight insights from the Quantum Canada Symposium and Workshop on April 11–12, 2017. The information presented here and the subsequent feedback process will continue the dialogue among the quantum community towards the ultimate goal of developing a robust national quantum strategy for Canada. The two-day event in Ottawa was hosted by the National Research Council of Canada (NRC), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR). It brought together scientists, industry players and government representatives to explore how Canada can build on its strengths in quantum science and chart a path towards global leadership in future quantum technologies"--Purpose, p. 1.
