Fertilization improves red pine seed production / [J.R. Dyck].: Fo29-2/31-1985E-PDF

"Past research has shown that red pine (Pinus resinosa Ait.) cone and seed production can be increased by either thinning or fertilizer application (Cayford and Jarvis 1967; Stiell 1971). The study described in this Note was initiated to determine if the application of fertilizer following thinning would further stimulate red pine cone and seed production"--P. [1].
