"Between 2001 and 2003, 4315 separate observations of seabirds were documented from platforms (stationary and moving) on the edge and slope of the Scotian Shelf and in the Davis Strait by the Oil and Gas Observer Program Canada (OGOP) Ltd. Seabird data collected by OGOP observers are designed to assess abundance and distribution of seabirds at sea, and offer the potential to provide data for the edge and slope of the Scotian Shelf, where only limited information currently exists"--Summary.
