5203 |a"This report is a product of the "Mackenzie-Shield to Selwyn Geo-transect" project within the Geological Survey of Canada’s Geomapping for Energy and Minerals (GEM-2) program. It updates the lithostratigraphy of parts of the late Meso- to mid-Neoproterozoic Shaler Supergroup in the Brock Inlier, a structural uplift located east of Darnley Bay, Northwest Territories. Measured strata are mainly exposed along the Hornaday River and its tributaries and include the upper Rae Group (upper Nelson Head and Aok formations) and the lower Reynolds Point Group (Grassy Bay and Boot Inlet formations). The primary focus of this report is on the Boot Inlet Formation, for which a detailed facies analysis is presented"--Introd., p. 2.
