"I surveyed the population of Lesser Snow Geese (Anser caerulescens caerulescens) nesting in the eastern Canadian Arctic by means of large-format vertical photography in June 1973. Subsequent analyses of the photographs gave a total estimate of 528,700 (±43,600) nesting pairs in the population"--Abstract.
