"The Canada/Greenland Joint Commission on the Management and Conservation of Narwhal and Beluga (JCNB) and the North Atlantic Marine Mammal Commission, with the participation of Fisheries and Oceans Canada Science, has developed a harvest allocation model for narwhal stocks shared between Canada and Greenland. For the model to be used successfully, information on catches from the communities by season that hunt narwhal from the shared stocks is needed. Catch statistics from 1970-2015 for 13 Canadian communities that hunt narwhals from the Baffin Bay population are reviewed"--Abstract, p. iii.
