Iron (present as ferric phosphate) and its associated end-use products : final decision.: H113-28/2018-23E-PDF

"Under the authority of the Pest Control Products Act, all registered pesticides must be regularly re-evaluated by Health Canada’s Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) to ensure that they continue to meet current health and environmental safety standards and continue to have value. Iron (present as ferric phosphate) is used as a molluscicide to control snails and slugs in greenhouse crops, food crops, outdoor ornamentals and turf in both residential and commercial settings. This document presents the final regulatory decision for the re-evaluation of iron (present as ferric phosphate) including the required updated risk mitigation measures to protect human health and the environment. All pest control products containing iron (present as ferric phosphate) that are registered in Canada are subject to this re-evaluation decision"--Re-evaluation decision, p. 1.
