"The sample data from the Surveys of Consumer Finances are weighted to estimates of total individuals and families derived from the Censuses of Canada. With the availability of the 1986 Census data, revised estimates for 1980 to 1986 have been produced using these 1986 Census data, and a new weighting procedure"--cf. 1981.
