"This guidebook explains forest regeneration techniques. The Natural Resources Canada Canadian Forest Service (NRCan-CFS) developed this guidebook to help with the successful restoration of disturbed in situ sites. The goal of this guidebook is to provide background knowledge for regeneration techniques that can be used to achieve revegetation objectives based on site conditions, seed or seedling availability and regulatory requirements"--Introduction, page 3.
