Inflation and the rates of return on bonds and equities / by James E. Pesando.: EC22-3/1980-148E-PDF

"This study briefly reviews the Canadian evidence regarding the impact of inflation on the rates of return on fixed-income securities and common stocks. The main purpose of the study, however, is to seek an explanation for the previous empirical findings. Attention is devoted to the role of tax factors and, in particular, to the non-neutrality of the Canadian personal and corporate income tax systems with respect to inflation"--Abstract.
