"This study examines the effects of private and public pension plans on both the level and composition of personal savings. It thus also considers personal portfolio changes which may have occurred as a result of existing pension plans. In addition, the study examines the effects of pension plans on the amount of labour supplied by individuals and, consequently, the implications for the retirement decision and personal savings"--Abstract.
