"Bottom and suspended sediment was collected from the St. Lawrence River between Kingston and Cornwall inJuly 1981 by the Water Quality Branch, Ontario Region. Samples were analyzed for organochlorine pesticides, PCBs, chlorobenzenes and organic carbon. Particle size distribution was determined on bottom sediment. This report summarizes the concentration and distribution of the trace organic contaminants and compares findings with other available historical data. Total PCBs were compared with the Ontario Ministry of Environment dredged material guideline for open water disposal"--Abstract, p. v.
