"AWOUALABS is a computer-based data capture/management system used for the real-time capture, preprocessing and analysis of raw data and for the organization, management, storage and reporting of results of a series of multi-parameter chemical and physical analyses in a medium-sized water chemistry analytical laboratory. As a result of developing and implementing the system, a number of identified problems in laboratory operations, notably slow sample turnaround, abundance of manual paper work, and other time-consuming and repetitious procedures have been minimized or eliminated"--Abstract, p. v.
