"The Water Quality Branch, Ontario Region, surveyed the lower Ottawa River during 1986 to determine the concentration and distribution of chlorophenols (CPs) and organochlorine pesticides (OCs) in water, bottom sediment and biota. Concentrations of CPs and 0Cs in water were well below established guidelines for the protection of freshwater aquatic life and were found for the most part to be below the analytical detection limit for OCs in both sediment and biota. Chlorophenol concentrations in sediment and biota were also very low"--Abstract, p. v.
