"This report is designed to be an operating guide for running user programs on the Water Science Subdivision PDP-9 digital computer. It is to permit users with little or no computing background to run simple programs using the FOCAL (FOrmula CALculator or Formulating On-line Calculations in Algebraic Language) conversational language. Since there is no specific guide supplied for FOCAL on PDP-9 computers, operating procedures have been gathered from various sources and are combined with techniques developed through usage to provide step-by-step direction"--Abstract.
