"This monograph was prepared as a background study for the Canadian Commercial Policy Review undertaken by the Economic Council of Canada. The principal objective of this study is to analyse the macroeconomic effects of the 1965 Automotive Agreement on the Canadian economy as well as on the automotive industries. Econometric models of the Canadian automotive sector are developed and integrated into the large CANDIDE model of the Canadian economy to provide estimates of the impact of the Agreement"--Preface.
