"The snow crab fishery in the Estuary and the northern Gulf of St. Lawrence began in the late 1960s. The DFO Fisheries and Aquaculture Management Branch, Quebec Region, requested a stock status assessment and a science advisory report to set the 2018 quotas. A scientific peer review was conducted on February 13 and 14, 2018. Participants included representatives from DFO Science and Fisheries and Aquaculture Management, the fishing industry and First Nations"--Context, p. [1].
