Handbook of agricultural statistics. Part I, Field crops .CS21-507/1964E-PDF

"This report is intended to supersede 'Handbook of Agricultural Statistics, Part I - Field Crops', issued May, 1951, the supplement to that reference paper issued November, 1955 and a revised edition issued September 1959. The major purpose of the Handbook is two-fold: to provide in one convenient publication, estimates for the period 1908 to 1963; and to provide revised estimates for the 1956-61 period. Many of the series for this period were revised when new benchmarks were provided by the 1961 Census of Agriculture. Subsequent issues of the Bureau's crop reports should be used to bring up-to-date estimates of acreage, production and value"--Preface.
