"This report is the fourth edition of the handbook of agricultural farm net income. It supersedes the editions published in February 1952, in July 1958 and June 1967. The purpose of this edition is to provide: a complete historical record of farm income estimates for the years 1926 to 1978; revised data based on information from the 1978 Farm Expenditure and Agriculture expenditure surveys; and revisions to the treatment of imputed house rent in the farm accounts"--Preface.
