5203 |a"A comparative study was carried out to determine the applicability to water quality modelling of the numerical One-Dimensional Hydrodynamic model as opposed to the HEC-2 and WATQUAL models combined. Results of the simulations with the one-dimensional model showed this model to be as good as the HEC-2 and better than the WATQUAL. Comparing the versatility of the alternatives, we find that the One-Dimensional Hydrodynamic model performs to great advantage"--Abstract, p. v.
