"The Business Finance Division of Statistics Canada is currently engaged in a program to substantially improve the quality and the quantity of statistical information on the Construction Industry. This program involves a complete census of the industry which will provide a core of statistical data for each of seven subsectors within the industry ... When grouped and analysed the data will provide a series of aggregates and ratios describing operational and financial characteristics for each sub-sector cross-classified by size group, province, type of construction, etc. ... This information bulletin provides preliminary results on the latest industry sub-sector for which a census was added; namely the non-residential general building contractors. In June of 1973 the final results will be published"--Introd., 1971.
