"This literature survey is part of a larger project whose (main) objective is to determine if the existing specifications regarding the maximum impurity contents allowed in cast copper alloys, are adequate or too stringent. The present survey is however limited to tin bronzes. The effects of impurity elements on the properties of these alloys are surveyed, an analysis is made of the ISO, ASTM and BS specifications and the methods used to remove (or neutralize) such impurities are summarized"--Summary, p. i.
